VMWare

The VMWare subscription includes access to most VMWare products including Fusion, ESX and VMWare training material and is available to all students and faculty in SEAS.

Access VMWare

Licensing for VMWare has transitioned from Kivuto to a VMware Academic program and GW IT is working with VMware to onboard the new licensing model. However, a free personal use license for VMware Fusion Player is available for students who create a MyVMWare account using their GW email. More information about accessing VMWare Fusion Player can be found on VMWare's website.

Windows ISOs can be downloaded from Azure using GW Single-Sign-On. Unfornately, if you are using a MacOS device with an Apple silicion processor (M1/M2), then you be unable to use VMWare on your device to run Windows. If you need access to a Windows device to complete assignments and coursework, you are able to remotely access the labs in Tompkins and SEH or use the SEAS Virtual Computing Lab.
