Why Engineering at GW?

The world faces complex, even daunting, engineering challenges at the beginning of the 21st century, but you, the next generation of engineers and computer scientists, will help lead the way through these challenges, using your creativity and confidence to make discoveries of which you have not yet even dreamt.

A strong education is the foundation on which you will build and make your contributions. So, as you explore your options for college, consider the many ways in which a GW education can help you build the solid foundation that will support you in your future career, as an engineer, a computer scientist, or one of the many, many other careers for which engineering can prepare you.

New Student Getaway

The New Student Getaway is a three-day weekend that all new SEAS undergraduates participate in right before the start of classes in the fall.  At the Getaway, incoming students meet their classmates, begin forming friendships, learn more about their academic programs and university life—and have some fun, doing everything from whitewater rafting to volleyball, hiking, and zip-lining.
