Meet the Mentors
Lindsey

Lindsey

SEASSPAN President
Computer Science - Senior

Hi, my name is Lindsey, and I am your SEASSPAN President! I’m from Shaker Heights, Ohio (like in Little Fires Everywhere). Although I don’t like coffee, you can always catch me drinking tea from Starbucks while I work. When I’m not busy studying for my classes in Gelman, I am probably out doing my best not to fall off my skateboard. I also love going on monument walks, exploring with my friends, and doing cool photoshoots. If you see me around campus, don’t hesitate to say hi. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Mikayla

Mikayla

SEASSPAN Vice President
Biomedical Engineering - Senior

Hi! I am from a small town just north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – and I’m the Vice President of SEASSPAN. If I’m not in SEH studying, you can find me doing something for the many organizations I’m involved with (AOE, BMES, and SWE, just to name a few), kickboxing, or getting creative with writing or playing music. A few other things I love to do include reading, exploring Washington D.C., and hanging out with my friends. If you ever want to talk about music, books, cool places throughout the city, or literally anything else, feel free to reach out to me. On behalf of all the 2023- 2024 mentors, welcome to GWU, and we can’t wait to meet y’all

alicia

Alicia

SEASSPAN First Year Mentor
Computer Engineering - Senior

Hello! My name is Alicia, and I am a junior computer engineering student. I also have an interest in graphic design, and I am involved as a graphic designer for some clubs I have been a part of, most recently GW Esports. Outside of class, I love hanging out with my friends by walking around the monuments and other parts of the city. Can't wait to meet you all!

amy

Amy

SEASSPAN First Year Mentor
Computer Science - Sophomore

Hi! My name is Amy, and I’m from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, but I lived most of my life in Daytona, Florida. I’m involved in a few different organizations on campus, but the main ones are Alpha Omega Epsilon, ACM, and WiCS. If I'm not studying in SEH, I’m either out monumenting, exploring new places with friends, binging a new show, or taking a nap with my cat Chester (feel free to ask for pictures, I love showing him off). Welcome to GW, and I can't wait to get to know all of you!

amna

Amna

SEASSPAN First Year Mentor
Systems Engineering - Sophomore

My name is Amna (Ah -man- ah) - I grew up in the DMV area, and I’m originally from Pakistan (Gujranwala). I’m also an artist at heart and enjoy pottery and ceramics in my free time! Currently, I’m involved with GW’s INCOSE (International Coalition of Systems Engineering) and WiCys (Women in Cyber Security). You can usually find me in Kogan soaking up the sun (or fighting the DC winds). I’m absolutely loving the city and looking forward to exploring it some more with you all. I can’t wait to meet you guys and welcome you to GWU and the SEAS community! :)

annette

Annette

SEASSPAN First Year Mentor
Biomedical Engineering - Senior

Hi! I’m Annette, and I’m from the Dominican Republic —so pretty much saying that I love the beach is a given. When there is no sand nearby, I really enjoy going on long walks, which lately have been to the National Mall or Georgetown, drinking (too much) coffee, and hanging out with my friends. I'm on a mission to romanticize my academic life, so you are more than welcome to join me as I find the best study spots in DC! I’m so excited to meet you all, so don’t be afraid to say hi!

Looking forward to meeting you!

dominic

Dominic

Hey! I’m Dominic (he/him), and I’m from Mechanicsburg, PA (not far from Hershey, ‘The Sweetest Place on Earth!’). I come from a family of performing artists, so I’m always listening to music (JAY-Z & Amy Winehouse are my GOATs) and watching films which both keep me sane as an engineering student. At GW, you might find me pretending to study on the 1st floor of SEH, playing pickup at Lerner, or working for the Nashman Center and the Office for Study Abroad. I’m a sucker for the noodle bowl at PoppaBox, and my favorite spot on campus is Western Market. Super excited to meet you guys in D.C. this fall! Get hype!

donovan

Hey guys! I’m Donovan (He/Him/His) from Wilmington, Delaware (YES, that’s where Joe Biden is from). You can typically find me somewhere random in D.C., on a walk, kicking a soccer ball, or (most of the time) holed up on the 3rd floor of Gelman. I am also a huge weeb and will adamantly debate that One Piece (Yes, I watched all 1000 episodes) is the greatest piece of fiction you will ever see. I’m currently involved in Theta Tau, Black Men’s Initiative, as well as the University Honors Program. I’m looking forward to welcoming you all to GW this Fall!

Some of my hobbies include video games, singing, and electronics repair, but when I’m at school, I’ve found my favourite hobby to be sleeping. I can’t wait to meet everyone, and I hope you guys have a great first year here at GW!
