Prior to joining GW, Professor Hernan Figueroa was an associate research scientist at the Sustainable Engineering Lab at Columbia University.  His work focused on wireless communications and embedded control systems for renewable energy and applications. These projects targeted universal electricity access in developing country settings. Previously, he held engineering and product development management roles at the utility automation business unit of Hubbell Inc.
