SEAS students and faculty on the GW Transportation Team are developing “Road Vision,” a smartphone application that uses crowdsourcing and artificial intelligence to give commuters real-time information about Washington, DC’s traffic patterns. Their app recently won the public innovation competition GigaBitDCx, and was awarded $25,000 in start-up and research funds to further develop Road Vision.
