Climate and Health Connection Series

Converging health and climate crises in the United States have generated increased opportunities for researchers interested in studying air quality, climate, and/or health, yet navigating the job market and understanding what skills set candidates apart in a competitive field can be challenging. Continuing the Climate and Health Connections Series, GW Climate and Health (CHI) members from the Air, Climate, and Health Lab in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at GWSPH will be leading a participatory discussion tailored toward students at all levels who might have an interest in pursuing further research-based degrees or a research-based career in air quality, climate, and/or health. This session will feature four early-career researchers, Dr. Doyeon Ahn, Dr. Tess Carter, Dr. Gaige Kerr, and Dr. Kate O'Dell, who will share their educational journeys, offer advice and perspectives from different types of research-based careers, and share internship opportunities.

This is a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual options. This event will be taking place on February 6 at 12 PM EST: In person at the GW University Student Center, Room 407, or if attending via Zoom, the link will be provided upon registration. For those in person, lunch will be provided. Registration is required and this event is open to all GW Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni.
