Professor Arzhang Angoshtari’s  research interests lie at the interface of theoretical and computational mechanics, materials science, and applied mathematics.  Current research topics are: (i) studying singular responses of 2D structures including pore dynamics in fluid membranes and fracture in shells, and (ii) developing stable numerical methods for large deformations of solids.
