Graduate Academic Advising & Student Services
The SEAS Office of Graduate Admissions & Student Services offers a range of academic and student services and resources for our graduate students. Students can find everything from advising assistance to career guidance, to a dedicated Facebook page.
SEAS graduate students may also want to participate in GW COMPASS, a professional networking organization that seeks to help GW graduate students in STEM prepare for life after graduation. GW COMPASS provides a community of professional support to facilitate the advancement of STEM graduate students by hosting networking engagements, fostering mentee and mentor relationships, and highlighting career opportunities for post-graduate life.
Undergraduate Academic Advising & Student Services
From this page, you can access information on majors and minors offered by SEAS, your general education requirements, answers to the questions students most frequently ask about completing their curriculum requirements, and the forms necessary to do that.
Requirements for Transfer Students
GW students who want to transfer to the School of Engineering and Applied Science from within the university should read our Internal Transfer Requirements page; students outside of GW who want to transfer should read our External Transfer Requirements page.
SEAS students love our student mentor program, whether they are incoming students being paired with an upperclassmen mentor, or a mentor helping out a new student. Visit our student mentor program page to meet our mentors, find out how to become a mentor, or get details on our New Student Getaway.
Get involved in student life at SEAS and GW. Groups and activities exist for almost any interest you may have.
Research completes an engineer’s or computer scientist’s education and opens doors for careers after graduation. We strongly encourage you to find out more about research opportunities, including our annual student R&D Showcase.
