Security
As an educational institution, SEAS does believe in the open exchange of information and encourages all students, faculty and staff, as well as people outside of our educational community, to participate in this process.
Information is shared via departmental and personal webpages, special institute pages, lectures and other forums available for this purpose. In special cases, qualified people are also accepted as guests on our computing systems.
Unfortunately, there are people that believe they should be able to access any part of our computing resources, simply because they can. Some of their activities are relatively benign such as using up CPU cycles and bandwidth.
These activities slow down the system for legitimate users, but aren't deliberately destructive. We encourage you to visit our left menu for more information.
