Monday: Review of diodes, BJT's and FET's: I-V characteristics,
small-signal models, etc.
Wednesday: BJT based differential amplifier.
EE 169: Introduction.
Week 2:
Monday: Martin Luther King Holiday.
Wednesday: Differential Amplifiers
- Data Sheets on SCR's, Triacs, Opto-isolators
are distributed.
EE 169: Experiment 1: P-Spice

Monday: BJT and MOS basic current sources.
Wednesday: Finish current mirrors; active loaded amplifiers.
EE 169: Experiment 2: Triac,
SCR, Opto-isolator, etc.
Week 4:
Monday: High frequency model of MOSFET and BJT.
Wednesday: CMOS op-amp example; Frequency Response of Common
Source MOSFET Amplifier.
EE 169: Experiment 3: Switching
power supply.
Week 5:
Monday: High-frequency response; CC-CE cascade
Wednesday: Open circuit time constants and dominant pole approximation.
EE 169: Experiment 4P (Design
Project I): Based on combining the above experiments.
Week 6: Hand in Homework
