The previous focus areas of Information Security Management, Knowledge Management, and Software Engineering and Information Systems Management have been combined into a powerful single curriculum called Knowledge and Information Management (KIM). KIM provides students with the skills and knowledge required to manage highly networked enterprises in the global economy and to develop competitive recommendations for success in a highly competitive environment. The program of study is technology independent so what you learn today will be applicable in all the possible tomorrows. The required classes in the KIM focus area are:
Students may choose to use the electives to focus on a specialty area, such as Knowledge Management, Information Security Management, or Software Engineering and Information Systems Management. Three electives are required, at least one from the following table, as approved by the adviser.
Tips and tricks for getting through the application process can be found here. Our curriculum is certified as compliant with four National Training Standards! Upon completion of the relevant courses, we are authorized to issue certificates to students attesting to completion of these training standards.
