I am an assistant professor of Computer Engineering at the George Washington University.  My interests are in the general areas of computer and systems architecture, especially data-intensive computing, file and storage systems, cloud computing, energy-efficient computer systems, and high-performance computing and storage for scientific applications. My research and teaching have been supported by National Science Foundation, IBMNVIDIA, Amazon, SUN/Oracle, and GWU Institute of Biomedical Engineering. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, , and received a B.S. in Computer Software from Wuhan University, China.
 
The current research projects include:  
  • Balanced Scalable Architectures for Data-Intensive Supercomputing
  • Cyber-Enabled Multiphysical Analysis of Heart Function
  • High-Performance Power-Aware Systems
  • GPGPU-based Cardiac Arrhythmia Simulations
