Ms. Singh completed her doctoral degree requirements in Systems Engineering in May 2007 at the George Washington University, Washington DC under Dr. René van Dorp. Her research involved studying and modelling leptokurtic behavior in financial data. She was also a member of Dr van Dorp’s research team, funded by his National Science Foundation Grant "Speaking the Truth in Maritime Risk Assessment". The Maritime Risk Assessment model has been presented in journal papers and at INFORMS conferences.

Previously, Ms Singh was with Caminus Corporation’s Strategic Consulting team (now Sungard Energy) in New York where she advised clients on business opportunities and risk management practices in the North American Electricity markets. Before joining Caminus, she worked with the Wholesale Power group at ICF Consulting where she led the development team on electricity price forecasting and portfolio valuation models.

Ms. Singh holds a Master’s degree in Operations Research and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

Currently, Ms. Singh holds a research position at LMI.
