Dr. Liang is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a board
member of Computers and Fluids, an Elsevier journal.
The research interests of Dr. Liang include development of numerical solvers on unstructured grids for both incompressible and compressible flows and simulations of real-world challenging fluid flow problems through massively parallel computing.
Professor Liang earned degrees including a Bachelor of Engineering and a Minor of English from Xi'an Jiaotong University at the age of 20. He began learning numerical methods from Prof. Wenquan Tao.
For graduate school education, Dr. Liang studied and lived in Hong Kong and London where he also became a fan of both snooker and soccer. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with Jason and Kevin, and playing Table Tennis.
