Cayley Carroll graduated from James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia in 2004. Cayley is now studying theater (stage management) at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Cayley was born in Washington, DC, on February 28, 1986. Her parents are Robert L. Carroll and Carol W. Carroll. Her family include her parents and her younger sister, Meyra, in Vienna, Virginia. An older sister, Blakely, is a graduate student at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she is studying music. (Blakely's web page is at http://www.seas.gwu.edu/~carroll/blakely ).

While in high school, Cayley loved to play soccer and to play the trombone in the James Madison High School Band. She was very active in drama and in music at her high school. She was very popular there, and has many friends. They hung out together a lot. She was a particular favorite of the boys. She is always active.

While in high school, Cayley was president of the Key Club for two year, drill captain of the marching band, and was company manager (president) of the Drama Club. Her high school honors include "Honor Thespian" for the International Thespian Society, a nomination for Best Run Crew at the Cappies (a metropolitan Washington, DC, award) for the award-winning musical "Chicago." Cayley received the Charlie Chaplin Award from the theater department and the HIgh Achievement Award from the high school for theater. Cayley directed the play "No Exit" in the school's Black Box Theater, stage managed "Honk!, the musical" among other shows. In the summer of 2004, Cayley attended Yale University to study stage management.

In her freshman year at VCU, Cayley was Assistant Stage Manager for "Big Love" by Charles Mee, and "Metamorphoses" by Mary Zimmerman. She was inducted in the Phi Eta Sigma national honor society, and selected for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Between high school and university, Cayley toured India for a month after visiting Paris and the French Riviera. She is a member of the Amimal Rights Network, and is currently applying to the Choral Arts Society of Washington DC as an intern. She also hopes to intern with a television station.
