CS 123 Discrete Mathematics

Purpose

The purpose of this course is twofold. First, to acquaint the student with several discrete mathematical structures and theories that bear relevance to Computer Science. These include sets, relations, functions, matrices, graphs, counting techniques, mathematical logic and boolean algebra. Second, to equip the student with mathematical tools and analytical techniques for theorem proving and problem solving.

Summary

Sets, functions, logic, proofs, relations, matrices, counting techniques, graphs, trees, Boolean algebra.
