Under the leadership of Dean David Dolling, the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) is undergoing an extraordinary transformation. In four years, SEAS has hired 37 new faculty members. Most of them graduated from top engineering and computer science programs in the U.S. and around the world, and they represent one-third of our entire faculty. At the same time, SEAS is expanding research and study abroad opportunities for students. And on the horizon, we have a 500,000 square foot building, with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, which is slated for completion in late 2014.

Science and Engineering Hall: GW broke ground on the Science and Engineering Hall (SEH) in October of 2011. The SEH will bring together science and engineering in one facility to promote research and discovery in the heart of our nation’s capital. The construction of this building stands as a symbol of GW’s commitment to the advancement of engineering and the sciences.

SEAS Power and Promise Campaign: Undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships are critical to helping SEAS attract the best and brightest students in engineering and computer science. Scholarships and fellowships ensure that a SEAS education remains accessible to all qualified students.

Faculty and research support: Recruiting a world-class faculty and providing the resources for cutting-edge research will position SEAS to become a leader in teaching, discovery, and technology commercialization.

Dean’s Fund: The Dean’s Fund helps support everything from internships, study abroad, and conference participation for our students to faculty and student research.
