International Student Services
GW’s International Services Office (ISO) works very closely with
the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to provide full
support for international students in all aspects of international student
activities. The office also assists in initiating the paperwork for
visiting research scholars. SEAS encourages our international students
and visiting research scholars alike to take advantage of the services
offered by the ISO whenever they may need it.
The ISO provides support to help orient and acclimate international
students to GW, Washington, D.C., and the United States. Upon arrival
to GW, new international students are also given an orientation packet
with information on apartment hunting, banking facilities in the immediate
area, campus jobs, and other funding opportunities. Prospective and
current students can learn more at http://gwired.gwu.edu/iso/,
by e-mailing iso@gwu.edu or calling
(202) 296-5254.
International graduate students may also find assistance through GW’s
Office of Grad Life. The Office of Grad Life provides GW graduate and
professional students consolidated information and resources through
various electronic media (web site, listserve, and e-mail), advocacy
through meeting with students and receiving feedback relative to the
University's services for graduate students, learning opportunities
through various co-curricular initiatives, and community building opportunities
through various new social, recreational, and cultural events. Visit
the Grad Life site at http://gradlife.gwu.edu/,
or e-mail or call us at gradlife@gwu.edu
or (202) 994-GRDS to discuss your co-curricular experience at GW.
