Science Stories in Society & School: Using Narrative to Bridge the Gap
Should the latest science research be found solely in science journals? Innovative scientists are broadening their audience
through cleverly written science themed books geared at every age. Students young and old are embracing science books about
medicine, physics and engineering -- and are turning the channel to watch TV and movies based on these groundbreaking
author/scientists' work. In this video, the featured authors discuss their work as science writers and explore how
their work is targeting misperceptions in society about science, as well as re-invigorating interest in the sciences to
encourage youth to pursue careers in science and engineering.
