SEAS Inaugurates the GW Engineering Hall of Fame

At a special dinner and ceremony on November 9, 2006, SEAS inducted its inaugural group of alumni into the new GW Engineering Hall of Fame. SEAS established the hall of fame this year to recognize alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who have made sustained and meritorious contributions to engineering, technology and/or management during their careers. These individuals bring distinction to GW through their significant achievements and contributions to their professions, the University, and society-at-large.

More than 90 alumni and friends attended the dinner on November 9th at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC to honor the new inductees. The evening began with a cocktail social hour and a toast given by SEAS alumnus Lou Wagman, followed by the dinner. SEAS National Advisory Council chairman, Scott Amey, made opening remarks at the ceremony, and Dean Tong addressed those present and thanked them for their commitments to SEAS. The induction of the nine alumni to the GW Engineering Hall of Fame followed.
