Engineer Alumni Association
Mission Statement
The George Washington Engineer Alumni Association (EAA) was founded
to: promote engineering education at the University, unite members in
close fellowship, promote the general welfare of the School of Engineering
and Applied Science, foster activities of the engineering organizations
recognized by the University, and advance the profession of engineering.
The leadership of the EAA is comprised of a Board
of Directors and the following committees: Executive; Admissions
and Science Fair; Awards and Scholarship; Board Recruiting and Nominating;
By-laws; Finance; Programs; and Publicity/Communications.
Membership
There are two categories of members within the EAA, as described below.
All members are fully entitled to take part in EAA activities (including
committee membership), although only regular members are entitled to
be elected to the Board of Directors and to vote.
Regular Members
Membership is open to graduates of SEAS and its predecessors, including
Corcoran Scientific School and Washington School of Engineering; individuals
who have matriculated at SEAS and have left the University in good standing;
and engineering graduates of accredited institutions who have matriculated
at the University.
Honorary Members
Membership is open to persons working to promote engineering education
in SEAS to such an extent that the Board of Directors of the Association
bestows this honor.
The EAA is always looking for dedicated alumni to volunteer as board or committee members. If you are interested in getting involved, please click on the links for an application and description of the board member and/or committee member positions.
Calendar of Events
The EAA, in conjunction with the Office of Advancement for the School
of Engineering and Applied Science, plans a number of alumni activities
every year, including a Dean’s Reception during Colonials Weekend,
