Mission StatementThe George Washington Engineer Alumni Association (EAA) was founded to: promote engineering education at the University, unite members in close fellowship, promote the general welfare of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, foster activities of the engineering organizations recognized by the University, and advance the profession of engineering. MembershipThere are two categories of members within the EAA, as described below. All members are fully entitled to take part in EAA activities (including committee membership), although only regular members are entitled to be elected to the Board of Directors and to vote. Regular Members Honorary Members The EAA is always looking for dedicated alumni to volunteer as board or committee members. Calendar of EventsThe EAA, in conjunction with the Office of Advancement for the School of Engineering and Applied Science, plans a number of alumni activities every year, including a Dean’s Reception during Colonials Weekend, networking and social events for both alumni and current students, lectures by speakers from various engineering disciplines, and alumni participation in local high school science fairs. Engineer Alumni Achievement AwardThe Engineer Alumni Achievement Award was established in 1971 to recognize alumni of the School of Engineering and Applied Science who have made noteworthy achievements in their chosen careers.
