Hurricane Season...

Hurricane Season Wrap-Up

There were a total of 45 storms to hit this hurricane season, 27 of which were in the Atlantic and 16 in the Pacific. Below you will find a chart that summarizes the storms that hit during this 2005 hurricane season. This hurricane season storm winds ranged from 30 to 175 mph.  The total death count thus far is over 185, with totals still needed from hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Vince. This was the most active Atlantic hurricane season on record. As the season rounds to an end currently there appears to be a few more storms brewing. There is one active storm in the Atlantic (Delta) and one storm (Epsilon) that has still yet to be declared. There are 9 storms in the Pacific that have not been declared yet: Pilar, Ramon, Selma, Todd, Veronica, Wiley, Xina, York and Zelda.
