Spring 2008
Course
Requirements and
Grading:
- Exams: There will be two exams each of
1 hour held during the semester.
- The exams account for 40% of the
total.
- Homeworks: A number of homeworks will
be assigned. The goal of the homeworks is to improve your learning of
the concepts covered in the lectures. You must do the
homeworks alone
and any collaboration, with any person in the class or anyone else or
any outside material, on the homework material will be treated as a
violation of academic integrity.
- The homeworks are worth 15% of
the
total.
- You will typically be given a week
to 10 days
to complete each homework.
- Programming Assignments and Lab
Assignments: There will be a number of simple programming assignments
and a
small number of simple lab assignments that you must complete during
the lab
section. These account for 20% of the grade. Some material for these
will be covered ONLY in the lab
section.
- Project: There will be a large team
based project that will account for 25% of the grade. Details about the
project are posted on the projects page links.
- Late Submission policy: For each
calendar day after the due date of the homeworks or programming
projects you lose 10% of the grade until the date that solutions are
posted. After solutions are posted you get a zero on the work.
- Grades on the submitted work will be
posted on Blackboard.
